Do you want to feel the sun and warm waters of the Caribbean? Join us at “Bells of the Caribbean” – a new Area 4 ringing event!
Area 4 is excited to welcome ringers from The Bahamas, St. John, St. Croix, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and beyond for this inaugural event on November 9, 2024, at the University of Puerto Rico – Carolina.
Participants will spend the day ringing and getting to know one another at this delightful destination event. Talented conductor Kathryn Jurado (Crescendo 2023, College Ring-In 2025) will lead our ringers through a collection of music thoughtfully selected for this event, geared toward the intermediate ringer with limited time to rehearse.
For those coming from long distances, there will be unofficial activities on Friday, including a guided visit to Old San Juan, a reading session, and time for socializing. Saturday’s festivities wrap up with a public concert in the afternoon. Space is limited for this premier event, so be sure to register soon!

Repertoire is between levels 2 and 4, with this event designed for the intermediate ringer and limited rehearsal. We will play 6 pieces, 5 which will need to be purchased.
